Wendy Anderson – Founder, Anderson Dance Group
Wendy Anderson began dancing at the age of seven, quickly developing a passion for the art that would shape her life and career. Starting with ballet, tap, and modern, she soon discovered ballroom dancing, where she fell in love with the rhythm and energy of Latin styles. Wendy progressed through the highest levels of the IDTA (International Dance Teachers’ Association) examination system and expanded her repertoire to include freestyle and rock ‘n’ roll.
From a young age, Wendy also enjoyed helping her dance teachers with younger students — an early sign of her natural talent for teaching. This passion eventually led her to pursue a career in dance instruction. She has now been teaching for nearly two decades and holds Associate and Licentiate qualifications across various IDTA branches.
After relocating to Billericay over 25 years ago, Wendy founded the Anderson Dance Group, a school that welcomes students of all ages and abilities — from beginners with “two left feet” to aspiring professionals. Her approach is inclusive, supportive, and tailored to each dancer’s individual journey.
